Texas FHA Mortgage Loan Limits for Home Lending by County
Texas FHA mortgage rates remain competitive with low interest rates for refinancing single family homes. Texas FHA loan limits should be increased to $300,000 plus for 1-family homes in a purchase or refinance loan. Texas borrowers would like to be able to refinance their adjustable rate 80-20 loans they took out when their homes were bought. Most of the 80-20 home loans financed in the last three years in Texas carried variable rates so it is important that homeowners have the ability to refinance these loans into a fixed rate loan prior to their ARM's experiencing an increase in payments monthly. As interest rates in the state remain lower than ever, many consumers are taking another look at the Texas mortgage loans insured by the Federal Government. Now you can get help from Texas mortgage lenders that have experience with FHA loan origination for home buying and refinancing.

Texas Housing Update - According to the Statesman, home sales in Central Texas increased 20% in July. The Austin Board of Realtors said that this was the 14th straight month of year-over-year increases. The median sales price also was up, rising 9% to $214,000 and marking the 6th straight month the median increased compared with the same month last year. Most realtors believe that the housing market will remain robust in 2016 and 2017 because the rates are low and the economy in the Lone Star state is very strong. |
